About Georgia Wright-Lane
Georgia Wright-Lane is a financial professional and licensed insurance agent. Georgia offers her clients a wide array of financial products combined with first class client services. Georgia strives to help her clients reach their financial objectives through the accumulation, preservation and proper distribution of wealth while helping them protect their family and assets from financial risk. Her mission is to help educate, liberate and create wealth for families and business owners.
Georgia has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She obtained her Series 7 & 63 securities registrations in 1999. Prior to launching her own financial services practice, Lane Legacy Financial Group in 2009, Georgia worked as a Career Agent/Registered Representative with Mass Mutual, helping individuals and businesses make financial decisions on retirement planning and wealth management. Georgia also worked with MML Investors, where she was involved in numerous special tasks as a Mutual Fund Breakpoint analyst ensuring the accuracy of sales charges on client purchases. She has also held positions with some of the premier banking/financial institutions in and around the New England area such as MetLife, Peoples Bank, A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., and Salomon Smith Barney, Inc. Georgia facilitates many financial workshops in Connecticut, with topics including Debt and Credit Management and Personal Wealth Building. In 2008, Georgia was selected along with three other financial planners to conduct financial seminars for St. Francis Hospital medical professionals and its employees She was featured as a guest host on Power 104.1 FM's broadcast "What's Good Hartford". She also has articles featured in the monthly newspaper, "West Indian American" and the First Time Home Buyer's magazine.
Georgia is a graduate of St. John's University in Queens, NY. She is an active participant in many organizations and prides herself on being a pillar in the community. Georgia is an affiliate and member of Hartford Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs, Urban League of Greater Hartford Young Professionals, St. John's Full Gospel in Bloomfield, CT and the Center for URBAN Research & Education Training. She also served as the Treasurer of the Blue Hills Civic Association and Urban League of Greater Hartford Young Professionals in Hartford, CT.
When Georgia is not helping her clients, she volunteers as an adult literacy tutor. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling and facilitating church seminars and financial literacy workshops for non-profit organizations and local schools.
